AMAZÔNIA
The idea for this artwork was as if I was looking out of a window and seeing the Amazon, with all its riches. I researched the elements that make up the set and produced them as close as possible to their reality, with their formats and colors. The transposition of the elements gives the feeling of depth and that the Amazon can really be seen through this window.
PINK SPRING
I chose to portray spring because it represents life, good things, joy. Spring is the promise of more colorful days, bringing the world more love, compassion, hope, inspiration and the will to live. We are all gardeners of life and we can bloom where we are planted. Every flower that blooms in spring is a note in the symphony of life. Water your garden and enjoy your life with joy!
ECLIPSE
With this work I was able to show my point of view about the solar eclipse, where the sunlight can be seen around the moon, reflecting waves of light and heat.
STARRY NIGHT
Starry Night, produced in 1889, is one of Van Gogh's most beautiful paintings and also one of the most famous. As it is one of my favorite works, I decided to reproduce it. I used strips of paper of different sizes, following the approximate pattern of the colors used by Van Gogh. My main concern was to place the strips following the movements of the brush strokes made in the original work. I wanted to bring this magnificent work to life and I really liked the result.
ORE
This collection was inspired by the most important ores in the world. Through these works of art I wanted to represent the beauty and diversity of this raw material made by nature.
FABERGE
Fabergé eggs are true gems, produced with metals, precious stones and enamel. Peter Carl Fabergé, Russian jeweler, and his goldsmiths designed and built the first egg in 1885, for Tsar Alexander III to give his wife a gift. Inside was a hen with a ruby pendant and a diamond replica of the imperial crown.
I made a composition of diamonds made of quilling, which joined in the right way, were transformed into an egg, completely hollow. I completed the work with some shiny stones.
VOLCANO
With a deeper look, we can observe in this work, the movement of volcanic lava and even feel the heat.
TRIUMPH
With a subliminal message, this work of art represents Victory and Triumph, through branches spread across the painting and in the center a wreath of branches.
M A Z E
The maze, for many, is a place to get lost and with no way out. But I see in the maze a path where it is possible to build one's own history, through the search for existential meaning and meaning, choosing the right paths. Within the maze there are mismatches and misunderstood situations that confuse us, but we must remain focused. Every maze has an exit.
BITCOIN
This was one of the biggest challenges and a lot of responsibility. Reproducing a logo requires great care, as it cannot be altered. It was all produced with gold paper.
GLOBALIZATION
The era of globalization and technology, where the world connects with just a click, aiming to communicate with the universe as well. The work shows the planet earth connected from pole to pole and the planets of the solar system around it, in the universe.
VERTIGO
In this work I wanted to portray, in a figurative sense, madness, the momentary loss of self-control that every human being has at some point in life.
SYNESTHESIA
Musical synesthesia. See sounds, feel colors or taste music. In this work of art, there is also a subliminal message, where I show how the senses mix and cause this confusion of seeing what, in reality, you only hear.
BLUE STARFISH
The art was created in the year 2020, inspired by the increase in the search of the human being for God, due to the pandemic. The idea was to portray the “reconstruction” or “regeneration” of the human being before God. That's why I chose the starfish, because it has the power to regenerate. And the blue color represents water and sky, conveying tranquility and peace. This artwork was donated to a charity auction for the Alliance of Mercy Church in Miami, Florida.
BUBBLES
What to say about this work?
Like soap bubbles, it was the way I found to demonstrate how ideas and thoughts bubble up in our minds.
FALL
One of the most beautiful times of the year, when leaves of different colors fill the floor like a colorful rug. In this work I used the 3D perspective, created by me in the quilling technique.
WAVE
This work depicts the movement of waves that bring us peace and tranquility, in some of the shades of blue that we can see in the sea.
4th JULY
Nothing better than the flag to represent a country. In celebration of the 4th of July, I decided to do this work. So I created a flag design, made with quilling squares, to fit inside the map of the United States.
